Hi, {{first_name | friend}}!

Happy Friday! Earlier this week, I watched my first Thanksgiving movie of the year (more on that later!), and it got me thinking about how quickly the year has flown by. With 2027 nearly here, we’re already thinking about how we can make TV & Movie Pix better in the new year, and we'd love your input! Whether you've been reading for years or just recently joined us, we’d love your feedback. Take our quick reader survey to tell us how we can make this newsletter more useful.

And if you have any thoughts or suggestions you'd like to share with me directly, feel free to shoot me an email. I'd love to hear from you!

Now, let's get into the good stuff! From a childhood favorite returning to theaters to a new dark comedy with serious Oscar potential, there's plenty to get excited about this weekend.

Yours,

The Biggest Premieres of the Weekend

Looking for something worth leaving the couch for? Here are two of the biggest movies hitting theaters this weekend: one for the kids and one for adults with a dark sense of humor.

The Cat in the Hat poster

The Cat in the Hat

In theaters now

Tasked with cheering up two siblings struggling to adjust to life in a new town, the Cat in the Hat embarks on his wildest adventure yet. Bill Hader voices the iconic feline in this animated reimagining of Dr. Seuss's classic. As someone who has never fully recovered from Mike Myers' nightmare-inducing 2003 version, I'm cautiously optimistic!
