Hi, {{first_name | friend}}!
Can you believe it’s November? At least a new month means a fresh slate of movies and shows to get excited about, and we're kicking things off with two highly anticipated premieres, a fresh take on a beloved literary classic, and a Netflix hidden gem worth excavating.
And a quick programming note for my fellow Dancing with the Stars fanatics: The show is airing tonight instead of Tuesday due to Election Day! As always, I'll be sharing my thoughts (and plenty of opinions) in Worth the Chat.
Happy streaming,

Biggest Premieres of the Week
If you’re anything like me, a sports biopic or a monster movie wouldn’t ordinarily be at the top of your watchlist. But great storytelling transcends genre, and these two highly anticipated premieres are worth making an exception for.

The Greatest
Streaming Nov. 4 on Prime Video
Early reviews are raving about this upcoming Muhammad Ali series, with The Wrap even calling it “one of the year’s best TV dramas.” The series starts with a young Ali, fresh off gold at the 1960 Olympics, as he sets his sights on the heavyweight title. But his biggest fight might just be outside the ring as he navigates newfound fame, family drama, and a country that isn't quite ready for him to become the legend we know today.

Godzilla Minus Zero
In theaters Nov. 6
Godzilla Minus One (streaming now on Netflix) is a favorite among Pix Media staff, thanks to its surprisingly moving and beautifully human take on a monster movie—but don’t worry, there’s still plenty of sci-fi epicness. Now, the highly anticipated sequel is headed to theaters, with Japan once again facing off against the King of the Monsters as the country struggles to rebuild after the devastation of war and Godzilla's previous rampage.

Hidden Gem Spotlight: Netflix
North of North
Early last year, this unassuming Canadian series quietly landed on Netflix and earned a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes! Set in a small Arctic community, this charming comedy follows a young Inuk woman who decides to reinvent her life after a very public breakup. Season 2 of the feel-good comedy drops Nov. 5 on Netflix.
