Inexplicable forces trap a family of four inside their house indefinitely. As both modern luxuries and life-or-death essentials begin to run out, the family must learn how to be resourceful to survive and outsmart who—or what—is keeping them trapped.
I love me a contained thriller where the main characters are confined to a single location. I also love Greta Lee, as she’s the star of Past Lives, one of my favorite romantic dramas of the last decade. So naturally, when I saw her leading this apocalyptic sci-fi thriller alongside Wagner Moura, it earned a top spot on my watchlist. The trailer is giving 10 Cloverfield Lane meets The Martian, but the last 15 seconds reveal a bit too much, so I’d recommend going in blind. It’s usually the best way to experience these types of movies.
