Sometimes I seek out book recommendations, and sometimes I stumble across them. Here are three of my stumblers, and if you feel like discovering something unexpected, these might just hit the spot.

I was reading an article about this year’s Iditarod winner and realized that, while I don’t want to learn anything more about this competition itself (I don’t support animal-based sports!), I’m very intrigued by the enormous act of courage and human-canine partnership behind it. Word is that this is the best book about it!

I’m hoping to unlock some of my dormant creativity, and everywhere I turn, this one keeps popping up. In fact, even the cashier helping me at Barnes & Noble said, “Wow, this one’s a classic. People love it. Good luck.” Okay, challenge accepted.
