Happy Monday! After a beach day this weekend, I binged what I’m calling TV’s biggest surprise of the year in one sitting.
YA is a tough sell for me unless there’s some built-in nostalgia (I’ve loved TSITP since middle school). So when Prime Video quietly dropped its latest YA series last week, I almost skipped it.
Thankfully, I didn’t. It’s created by Megan Park, whose My Old Ass absolutely destroyed me, with co-showrunners behind The O.C. and Gossip Girl. The result is charming, witty, genuinely heartwarming, and full of rich, fully realized characters—plus a custody situation that rivals The Parent Trap in absurdity. Please watch, because I need a Season 2.
